For the first screen I added two new icons. Magic wand icon - The idea is that users can click it to auto generate a chat based off of previous messages. A trained AI assistant such as Claude / GPT could learn or base responses off of a LLM. Save Chat Template icon - The idea was to create a fast way for users to save a new chat template for future use.

My idea was to allow to user to create their own categories to store the template in and help keep it organised. Each category name can be edited or the entire row deleted. There would be an internal scroll to load more categories.

Filters and Settings modal. They would overlay on top of the current modal and allow the user to easily filter categories or templates. There could be potential here to allow the user to set automated responses, delayed replies, mass messages etc

The user also has the option to edit or delete an existing template. Within this section they can easily add, remove, or edit text. Then save it to be used at a later date.

Save Chat Templates icon: When clicked the user can save this template. (Only the user sees this icon). They then choose which category to save it in. It has a temporary hover effect and then automatically saves into that category. After it has been saved the icon changes colour to indicate it is now a saved template. A confirmation pops up for 2 seconds to confirm its been saved.

NextGear - Social Media App - UX Designer

For this project from NextGear, I was tasked with coming up with new ways users of their social media platform could message and engage with their followers.

UX Problem:
Responding to large volumes of messages can be time consuming, as users must
repeatedly type out similar responses from scratch. This leads to inefficiencies, especially
for users with thousands of followers.

User needs:
Users need a way to quickly and easily send pre-written responses in a chat without
losing the personal touch in their interactions.

Proposed solution:
Design a template feature into the chat interface, enabling users to save and reuse
frequently sent messages, including text, images, videos, and audio files. This enhancement will streamline communication and reduce response time.

Next Steps:
- Mass Sending of Chat templates
- User selects a template then selects ‘Send to’ and then a list appears and it shows their followers and they can select to send it individually or to all.
- AI Assistance / Auto-reply
- NextGear could use an off the shelf LLM like Claude or GPT or they could train their own LLM off the messages that their users have sent. This hands off approach could mean users are generating passive income by only maintaining image, video, audio archives for the AI assistant to use. It might be an idea to allow the user to only set the ‘theme’ or ‘tone’ of the messages.
